Hello! I'll be your deal-sing co-pilot today, and I'm sure you're very excited. So come fly with me, and I'll try not to steer this liveblog directly into the ground. So far, so good!

Let's kick things off with a bang. This RTX 4070 gaming laptop is an astonishingly good deal for a mere $900. We've seen it at an even lower price over the winter sales, but it's still a silly-low amount of money to pay for an excellent gaming machine with that particularly brilliant mobile GPU.

This is the deal that makes it hard to recommend RTX 4060 gaming laptops right now. I'm still seeing RTX 4060-touting machines for well north of $1,000, and they make no sense at all while this Lenovo LOQ model exists for such a low price.

Yeah yeah, the SSD is small, and the screen is only 1080p. So what. You can upgrade the storage with ease, and 1080p gaming on a 15.6-inch display will still look great, especially when it's firing plenty of frames at that 144 Hz panel thanks to a properly powerful GPU.

If I was buying a gaming laptop on a budget today? This one. All day long.

It might be a little tough right now to find a latest-generation GPU (okay, more than a little tough) but if you're in the market for a stonkingly good pre-built machine, you can absolutely get hold of one—surrounded by truly excellent components.

Like this . Sitting in that AM5 socket is the , a hyper-powerful gaming CPU that's only recently been surpassed in our guide by the .

Trust me: The 7800X3D is still mega-fast in 2025, and will be for quite some time to come. Here it's paired with 32 GB of DDR5 6000, a generous 2 TB Gen 4 SSD, and crucially, an .

We've been mightily impressed with AMD's new cards, and the RX 9070 XT is the jewel in its current two-pronged crown. It can trade blows with the , and that's a genuine achievement. Sure, you don't get DLSS 4 to play with, but , and AMD's regular ol' frame generation works pretty darn well.

This machine is $2,000, and that's a lot of money. But in a GPU-starved market where we're seeing RX 9070-series cards edge towards the $900-$1,000 mark, this ferociously-fast gaming PC actually represents a good value proposition.

Is anyone else struggling to remember the name "Amazon Big Spring Sale"?

I've got a terrible short term memory (a hell of a thing for a tech writer) but I keep mixing it up with Big Deal Days and the Amazon Super Mega Deal Day. Okay, I made one of those up.

Newegg opted for "", bless it, whereas Best Buy seems to have not bothered with a naming scheme at all. It's still one of the best places to shop for right now, though. Just saying, y'all.

I don't actually need help. I just found this banner in our image search and wanted an excuse to use it. Carry on with your deal hunting.

Fancy an ultrawide gaming monitor but keep being put off by the price? How about this for a mere $280?

No, I didn't make the name up, Acer did. It's got quite possibly the worst nomenclature we've seen on a gaming monitor (among many, many candidates) but it's also one of the we've found to date.

It's a 34-inch 3,440 x 1440 resolution display, which is the perfect size for an ultrawide if you ask me, and uses a 180 Hz VA panel which means it's remarkably speedy. I'm not big on Acer's naming schemes, but I'm often impressed with how cheap you can find its genuinely desirable and very well-specced gaming monitors.

If you want to go wide for less, you're looking at your new gaming monitor right here, I reckon.

SSD prices have been jumping up and down like space hoppers over the past year, but I've found two Gen 4 beauties that are very well-priced in such a volatile market.

First up is the , and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't recognise the manufacturer. Nextorage is a relatively new name on the market (originally sired by Sony to create SSDs for the PS5), but the components are tried and trusted at this point. In fact, this 2 TB drive uses one of Phison's best controllers—the E18.

It's super-speedy, reliable, and runs cool. Everything you want in a 2 TB drive, for a very good price.

And second, if you want all the storage (well, somewhere near it for practical purposes, anyway), how about this ? I keep eyeing up this drive for my personal machine and at this price, it's pretty darn tempting.

After all, nothing feels better than having many, many brilliant games installed all at once with room to spare. It's still $240, which is a lot to pay for a single NVMe drive, but you won't find a faster 4 TB SSD for less right now.

If you like your laptops on the larger side (a 17-inch laptop screen is a lovely thing to behold, after all) then you'd do well to check out this . It might not be the easiest machine to squeeze in your bag, but it's got some very impressive components thrown into the bargain.

An , for a start. It's a 14-core (six Performance, eight Efficient) 5 GHz stalwart of a mobile CPU, and unlike some of its more multi-cored brethren it shouldn't push the fans too hard while still delivering excellent gaming performance. I mean, it's still a gaming laptop, so it won't be quiet, but have you heard a Core i9 14900HX laptop at full chat? It's not pleasant.

That excellent CPU would matter for naught if the GPU was no cop, but here you get a proper 140 W RTX 4070 to play with. That's a good match for the 1440p display, although you'll still need a dose of Frame Generation to take advantage of all those Hz in demanding games.

Oh, didn't I mention? It's got a 240 Hz panel. That's about as speedy as you'll find in a modern laptop at the moment, which in combination with those specs and a 17-inch panel size should mean your games look great in all their high-speed glory.

Again, it's a bit on the large side overall, but I think this laptop is actually rather handsome. Horses for courses and all that, but I reckon it's a decent price on such a well-heeled machine.

🚨MEGA CPU ALERT!🚨

Awooga, awooga. That's the sound of my mega CPU alarm, and it's going off because of the astonishingly fast , which is as we speak.

16 cores, 32 threads, 5.7 GHz boost clock. Zen 5. I mean, this live update pretty much writes itself, doesn't it? The Ryzen 9 9950X is behemoth of a CPU, not just for gaming but for any task you can throw at it. Our Nick came away seriously impressed with its performance, and up until recently it was the most powerful AMD CPU you could buy.

Until the 3D V-Cache-equipped came along, anyway. However, don't make the mistake of thinking this model is bad for gaming, as it'll still trounce almost all other CPUs pound for pound in that particular arena. Plus, it's now a much more reasonable price, at least for a processor of this calibre.

One more time for good measure: Awooga. That is all.

The awful part about hunting for deals all the time is that my own PC looks at me, mournfully, begging for upgrades it doesn't technically need. With money I don't really have. Sigh.

I'm going to spend more cash than I meant to this year, aren't I? Screw it, at least I'll have a good time.

It's not just the big stuff I'm hunting for during this year's Amazon Spring Sale. Should you be looking for a little treat, or perhaps a small gift for a loved one, how about ?

Holy moly that's a huge image, but I'm rolling with it. Yeah, it's a headphone hook. A very cool-looking headphone hook, for [[link]] a mere $12. As I look in front of me right now I see three pairs of headphones, sitting hook-less on my desk.

Should I get three? No, no, that's excessive. Two perhaps. I could fashion them into earrings.

Yes, the deal hunting is gradually taking its toll. We still out here, though, folks. We still out here.

If you're looking at , you might want a new headset to hang on it. And if it's wireless you're after I can think of few better choices than the , especially when it's

I reckon I can recommend this set with one bite of the cherry: 300 hour battery life. That's unprecedented, and as someone that regularly maintains several sets of wireless headphones (what, I'm an audio nerd, okay?) let me tell you that this one provides cable-free bliss for much longer than literally all the others.

It also sounds great. I mean, it feels weird throwing that in there as an "also", but it really does. It's supremely comfortable, it's got DTS:X Spatial Audio support for multiplayer footstep positioning, and it's quite a handsome fella, too.

The only drawback is the mic, which is fine rather than spectacular. That's not much of a downside compared to all the obvious advantages, which means this superb set of cans currently sits as the in our guide. Doesn't get much better than that, does it?

We have two Jacobs on our team, Jacob Ridley and Jacob Fox. And neither of them will stop talking about what a good gaming mouse the is, so with due diligence I'm reproducing that here:

Fine. In fairness, it's a brilliant gaming mouse, and I've been using Logitech squeakers for years with very little issue. I won't tell them that, though. It'll only make it worse.

Sometimes you see a product in the flesh and it makes your heart leap a little bit. For me, it was the ultrawide gaming monitor. I stood in front of this particular monster at Computex 2024, and for a moment, all of my cynicism dropped away.

It's a truly phenomenal looking thing. And while it still 'aint cheap, I reckon it's still a pretty good price on what is an actually-jaw-dropping OLED display.

I didn't get to review it, though. That honour fell to Nick Ross, and a very good job of it he did, too. He highlighted its excellent color reproduction and HDR, it's superb feature list and ergonomics, and the fact you can find it for relatively reasonably money, given that it's a mahoosive OLED ultrawide that makes hardware writers stop in their tracks.

Ever since, I've wanted one. Today, I could live vicariously through you. If you're in the market for a monitor that dominates even the largest of desks, of course. Don't let me force you.

One last deal for the road folks, before I clock off for the evening. It's a good 'un, though, because its the monitor I keep convincing myself not to buy because I'm saving for a [[link]] house.

You, however, may have more funds available than me. In which case, may I present to you the MSI MAG 321UPX, a 32-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor that haunts my dreams at night. It's right now, and I wants it. I wants [[link]] it bad.

We're big fans of MSI's OLED displays, mainly because they use the same brilliant panels as some of the best OLEDs on the market, but you can often find them cheaper. The MAG 321UPX is a great case in point, as you won't find a better 32-inch OLED than this for less cash at this very moment.

With stunning high-pixel density, a 4K resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate, it's pretty much a shopping list of the features I desire in my next monitor purchase. And while $800 is no small sum, compared to the rest of the OLED market it's downright cheap.

If you want a 240 Hz refresh rate, there's always our overall, the . I've found it , but I'd be sorely tempted to save $100 and put up with a lower, but still very fast refresh rate from the panel below.

So here it is, my last highlighted deal of the day. A truly stunning monitor, for a price you might actually be able to justify. It's been a pleasure serving with you, folks.
